What's New at Lake Champlain Restoration Association

July 8, 2008

It's summer 2008 and another boating season is upon us. LCRA has been actively engaged in streamlining our communications and operations, including simplifying the process of having milfoil harvested. You can look around the website for membership and harvesting applications.

Over the years, this group has changed from a vocal group of "neighborhood activists" to a core group of workers who diligently and voluntarily take care of the service part of our mission.

If you have input, please contact one of the officers or attend our functions to share your comments.

LCRA is providing a valuable service to the residents of Lake Champlain, to the State of Vermont and to the visitors in our area. We are proud of our accomplishments and our supporters.

LCRA is managed by a group of unpaid neighbor volunteers, who invest their personal time and efforts every year to help restore Lake Champlain. Harvesting weeds is only the most visible contribution. LCRA volunteers work with other groups, legislators and individual property owners to educate and inform them about water quality issues. We need your financial support to continue our work to clean up Lake Champlain. Please consider becoming a member, a donor or an active volunteer.

If you haven't become actively involved in supporting LCRA, I would appreciate if you would send in a contribution right now. You can mail contributions or dues to PO Box 196, Bridport, VT 05734. All contributions are tax deductible.

Please help us keep Lake Champlain the jewel of western New England.

Thanks!

Chip Morgan, President 802-758-2909
